| June 15, 2009. I'm still working full time as I have till the end of August 2011 when my lease expires. The business climate is so bad that I can't find anyone to sublet my space. What I've discovered is that Paul Simon was right as my people are "Still Crazy After All These Years". They will stay with me for the duration of the next 806 days. So who's counting? I'm still cycling five days a week, but my long term side kick had a bad accident and wound up in the hospital with 8 broken ribs and a punctured lung so I'm scouting for another victim. My Steinway piano is showing signs of wear as I busted an F-string playing boogie-woogie. No it isn't a male version of a G-String. We still planning to retire to Tucson after I sell or terminate my practice. I'm developing some twinges in my hinges so the warm dry air will be welcome. My sister, the original Judy Temple, has been scouting for homes in the Catalina Foothills My daughter, Libby, has a darling little boy, Luke who was born 7-29-08. She has resumed working as a pharaceutical rep for Pfizer encouraging doctors to prescribe the non-narcotic drug, Lyrica, for pain and Spireva for emphysema. She no longer distributes samples of Viagra now that it can be purchased without a prescription on the internet. My daughter, Becky, is in the process of finding another home in the next county where the prices are lower and the schools rate higher. She still does social work, but has begun doing some project management for the local government of Columbia on a part time basis. Very industrious. Cadi starts pre-K this fall. She is still in the princess phase but wears leggings under her gown for the sake of modesty. My mother passed away last year at 93 at sun down on Good Friday, the first day of Spring. She made it easy to recall when to commemorate her passing by lighting a candle. Her epitaph reads "They're, There, Their" She requested that be incised on the back of her tombstone for her English students who "never got it right." She had a great sense of humor. |
