After college (1964) and graduate school (1966), I spent just over three years as an officer in the U. S. Navy.   At that point, I started a career in Chicago with what is now Accenture, a global systems integration firm.  (An example project was the design and implementation of the Walgreens pharmacy system which took about two years.)   I retired ten years ago and have since spent my time roughly a-third civic/ community activities; a-third business and consulting; and a-third family and travel.   Perhaps my most passionate focus was being part of a team starting a pre-K through 8th grade charter school in Chicago's west side. It now has over 500 students in three campuses; 85% of the kids are at or above grade-level.   (A school less than six blocks away has 15% of its students at or above grade-level.)

Susan and I still live in Chicago but frequently visit one son and his family in San Francisco, another in Denver, and my daughter in Chicago.  (A total of three children and five grandchildren.)

I'm very much looking forward to the reunion this year.
