 | | 07/01/2009 Retired and LOVING IT. I, like many of you, find there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish what I want (or is it just that I am that much slower and not so organized). Family includes two daughters, one son-in-law, five grands and the newest addition Chloe (a Cavashon puppy). Whatever was I thinking! Enjoy visiting friends and family in San Diego, Coronado, Madison, SD and Tucson, playing Pogo games on my computer, bridge, going to the casino, preparing fine food for friends and family, reading, and crafting. I thoroughly love my volunteer job in the Neonatal ICU. Now I mostly care for one baby daily until he/she is well enough to go home. Such a rewarding service and happily most are success stories. Helping (albeit only a little) on the reunion Committee provide opportunities to visit and renew friendships. My forever friend, Jane Chambers Bischoff, and I have been rewarding ourselves with yearly jaunts (starting after my infamous sailing trip that was a disaster in 2004) to such places as Spain, Rose Parade, and Las Vegas. Next on the agenda is Hawaii, then possibly either China or Alaska. So thankful to be well and able to enjoy life as it is and work toward positive changes that are occurring. I guess I could sum up my life by saying that while I enjoyed school, working and raising my family, it was a means to get where I am today and I love each and every minute of it. Wishing the same and the best to all my classmates. Here's to a great 50th Reunion. |
